As the Founder and Managing Partner of Eastlake Real Estate Partners, Mike leads the firm’s multifamily development platform. His responsibilities include development sourcing, project design, construction management and debt/equity placement. Mike is passionate about building teams to strategically create value for our residents, investors and community.
Soon after graduating in 1992, Mike took a job as a steel salesman in Pittsburgh, PA. He also put together a small partnership to purchase his first two investment properties. By 1997 he had moved to Seattle, where he managed the Bellevue CBD office portfolio for Spieker Properties (NYSE: SPK), a San Francisco-based REIT, later purchased by Equity Office Properties (NYSE: EOP) in 2001. In 2003, Mike cofounded Shilshole Development, a general contracting and development company.
Mike holds a BA in Finance from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and an MBA from the University of Washington with a focus on Real Estate Finance. An advocate for underserved rural communities, he has served on the boards of Rwanda Rise and Agros International.
